About the project
This thesis explores the intersection of contemporary art and new media, focusing on the challenges and innovations in exhibition design. It introduces the Modular Exhibition Toolkit (MET), a comprehensive tool designed to assist artists and curators in planning and executing new media art installations.
Central to the thesis is the human-centered design approach, emphasizing co-creation workshops for inclusive and practical solution development. Through interviews, autoethnography, and netnography, the research identifies key themes such as spatial influence, technical requirements, audience preferences, and collaborative models.
Project results
Employing human-centered design methodologies, the research culminated in creating a comprehensive framework known as the Modular Exhibition Toolkit (MET). This framework encompasses several components such as:
