About the project
The Urban Sustainability Initiative is a comprehensive project aimed at enhancing sustainable development and climate resilience in urban environments, specifically within the city of Oakville. Published as part of a Design Management class project, this initiative focuses on employing synthetic modeling and data-driven strategies to project the city's future sustainability trajectory. My contributions were centered around Sustainability Score Calculation and Indicators, Data Visualization, Comparative Analysis, and SWOT Analysis.
Project results
The initiative successfully developed a multi-faceted approach to urban sustainability, combining theoretical frameworks with actionable insights. Through meticulous Sustainability Score Calculation and Indicator development, we provided the city of Oakville with a clear baseline to measure progress. The data visualizations offered intuitive, engaging representations of complex datasets, facilitating a deeper understanding of the city's sustainability challenges and opportunities. The Comparative Analysis highlighted key areas for improvement by benchmarking against leading cities in sustainability, while the SWOT Analysis identified strategic areas for Oakville to leverage or improve upon.
